マスタークラス参加者オーディション

「MASTERCLASS LIVE」はオーディションで選ばれた5名のパフォーマーへのマスタークラス指導に加え、テリーによるライブパフォーマンスが融合した公演となっています。テリーによる5名のパフォーマーの指導過程は公演の一部となり、観客に公開されます。

▷パフォーマーの選考

パフォーマンス動画のリンクと参加理由を記入の上、締切：9月13日（金）までに以下のフォームよりお送りください。審査後（9月15日までに）こちらからご応募いただいた全ての方に参加可否のご連絡を差し上げます。

・締切：9月13日（金）
・動画審査で歌う曲は、ミュージカル曲、又はミュージカルで使用されるポップ・ソングでも可能です。
・プロフェッショナル、アマチュア、学生等どなたでもご応募いただけます。
・ご応募いただいた時点で、10月25日（金）18:30-21:00の「Masterclass Live」に参加できること、そして参加費（30,000円）を支払うことについて同意したこととなります。
・マスタークラスは100名ほどの観客がいることを想定しています。

▷テリーからのメッセージ

アーティストとして、10年前に習った曲は時間と経験を得た今では、自分にとって全く違った意味を持っています。全てのパフォーマーは、それぞれがそれぞれのアーティストとしての旅の途中です。そしてパフォーマンスについて学ぶことに終わりはありません。常に学び続ける必要があります。また、パフォーマンスには「正解」や「不正解」はありません。それを踏まえた上で、今回のマスタークラスではそれぞれの過程にいる様々なレベルのパフォーマーに対し、歌を通しての物語の伝え方や表現方法に加え、それぞれのパフォーマーに合わせたボーカル・テクニックを教え、今いる場所からプロフェッショナルかつユニークな次のレベルへ進めるよう誘導します。

AUDITION FOR MASTERCLASS
Masterclass Live combines a masterclass taught by Telly Leung with his live performance. 5 students will be selected by audition for the masterclass and the audience will be comprised of students and observers of the creative process.

Using online form above, submit link of video recording of your performance and reason for application. DUE: September 13th Friday. Applicants will be notified of results by September 15th.

  • Video recording choice can be a of a musical theater song or a pop song that can be used in an audition or featured in a musical or cabaret.

  • The class will focus on storytelling and expression as well as vocal technique, depending on the individual needs of the student.

  • This is an audition open to performers of all levels

  • Upon applying, applicant agrees to be available on October 25th Friday, 18:30 – 21:00, to participate in Masterclass Live, and pay 30,000 yen as participation fee before the event

  • A maximum of 100 audience members are expected at Masterclass Live

“As an artist myself, I find that a song I learned 10 years ago will mean something completely different to me with time and experience. It is my philosophy as a teacher that every student is on their own artistic journey - and the craft of performance is a life-long study. It is also my belief that there is no “right” or “wrong” way to sing a song. Songs can never be “mastered”, but rather a constant “work in progress”, so I am interested in seeing where each student is in their own individual process, and I will be helping them find the next level of understanding and emotional connection to each song to make these songs feel personal and unique to each performer. We will be working on acting exercises to deepen the emotional connection to each song, and we will also be looking at how vocal technique and musicianship can make us better singing storytellers. I am interested in students of ALL levels. Amateur. Professional. Students. “
